BE 9.1 to 10.0 Upgrade

Keith_Duemling

Current environment: Windows 2000 SP4 server running BE 9.1 to an HP tape library that is attached. We have the remote agent installed on several server and are backing up remote content.

I have reviewed a document on how to manually back up the configuration information. Is there any official document on how to perform the upgrade in a step by step method?

I'm downloading the upgrade package now, which I would assume has upgrade instructions. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, or if you could point me to the information I'm seeking. Also...any tips on what to watch for would also be much appreciated.

Sorry if the this thread has been beat to death already.

Thank you.

The upgrade from 9 to 10 will uninstall version 9 before installing 10 but will give you the option to retain the catalogue information etc. so that when you log into version 10, all of your jobs etc. will be in the GUI still. You will need a full set of new licesne keys for version 10 to do the installation, you cannot use version 9 keys with 10 media.
