Juergen,

When BE is slow, perhaps you can review the Detail tab in Task Manager, and note what process (other than System Idle Process) is consistantly using the most CPU.

Can you try this if it applies - https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.100034109

You can launch the console from command prompt BE Install Path -> backupexec.exe /debug

Review the queries in debug tab, see which one is taking a long time

Thanks,

i think your soultion is for another problem.

Most of the time, when i need to administrate BE the product is slow and not responsive.

I need to wait for some tasks 8-10 seconds before i can do any other task.

if i edit a backup job it takes about 10 sec to close and save the change.
It takes very long a backup selection to enumerate the resouces of a remote hyper-v host.

How can i speed this up?

I already have a new backup server, the old one had a single Quad Core CPU, the new one 2 Octa Core CPUS.
But they are performaning the same ...
