BE Time Window

It would appear that between the "Start no earlier than" and the "and no later than" options in the schedule that ther is no way to leave the "and no later than" option open so that the job will run at the next available chance it gets. Our tape library only has 2 drives and if two jobs get hung up in BE then the third one will never run because it will miss it's window. I need a solution for our High Priority jobs to make sure that if they miss their window, they will run as soon as a drive is available.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

You can use BEMCMD to start the 3rd job.  See my blog on how to accomplish this.

The current version of Backup Exec (till BE 2010) has the limitation to set the Job time window maximum to 23:59:59 after which the Job goes to Missed state.

But in the coming release Backup Exec 2012 it has been increased to 10 days. Please check the following link to get the First Availability download of BE 2012.
