BE and SEP Liveupdate Policies, Who Wins?

Here's a question for anyone out there.  We have a Backup Exec server set to not update the software automatically.  We have SEP installed and the policy is currently set to update automatically.  Who wins?  Will the SEP software rules over-rule BE and force BE to update to whatever patches and service packs are available or will BE win and no updates will occur?  Or, as I suspect, each product behaves independantly and they update according to their individual settings?  Any help or reference would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I would suggest to opt out Backup Exec from other LiveUpdate sessions such as that of SEP...

From the command prompt, change directory to Installed Drive\Program files\symantec\backup exec

run the following command

beupdateops.exe -addbe -optout

So are you saying the SEP automatic liveupdate will also force BE to automatically update?
