BE on VM + dedupe

HI,

This is the plan.

1) Prod - all physical servers, BE 2012 + deduped disk

2) DR - 1 ESXi server, BE 2012 on VM, PointInTime Conversion

3) Deduped backup on disk at Prod

4) Opt_dup from Prod to DR (from deduped disk to deduped disk)

5) Sched job - pointintime conversionn to virtual on same ESXi

Does anyone know the restore limitations at DR? Any docs?

What are the requirements for the deduped folder? I think there's no issue if its local disk, but what if it is not? Anyone can recommend a product?

If there are other physical and ESXi servers at DR? Can we still do the restore? What if vCenter is also on ESXi?

Thank you.

BE2012 Dedup folder requirements http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO73688

Dedup folder has to be created on a drive which is local to the media server.

local can be a SAN attached drive however SAN attached drives may not always be reliably attached when inside a VM.
