BE tape drive error

On the issue of the drive,  have HP DAT 320 USB, the problem is that the blank tape writes well, but in the process to continue recording on the same tape (tape is in the drive, and the next day there is a new record), an error occurs and the tape throws (in the settings to add data allowed), try on the products of other manufacturers, all right. Likely due to driver or procedure works exactly the product in product (try the 2012 and 2010 versions)

Symantec don't offer drivers for the USB devices and you have to use the HP driver...are you doing so?

Thanks!

OK...so a tape is put in, and the data gets written to it. Can you answer these:

1. Does the tape get ejected? If so, are you prompted to put in another tape to continue the backups? If so, make sure compression is turned on!

2. Is another backup trying to append/overwrite the tape from the night before? If so, make sure that the tape is appendable...you need to check the Append/OPP settings on your media sets to correct this.

Thanks!
