BE2010 R2 and BESR2010 on Same Server??

Hi All,

Does anyone know if there are definite issues when upgrading from BE2010 to R2 when the BESR2010 console (not the service) is also installed on the same server?

I've seen a couple of threads that mention install errors when BESR2010 has been previously installed on the server. Removing the reg keys seems to fix the issue. I however need both products on the same box, but don't want to risk messing up my BE2010 install.

Not recommended to have both the products on the same server because if you try to backup the same thing from both the softwares then it will be an issue. Also we have issues backing up the hyper-v host from BE if you BESR installed.

But if you are using BESR for recovery then installing should not be a problem and I have seen people using both the products on the same server.

   I do not see any reason why BE 2010 R2 and BESR 2010 should not work on the same server. But the only care you should take is Not to Run both the jobs at same time.
