Hi,
we are facing this issue when we try INVENTORY da Tape where the job remains as 'QUEUED' and the only way to read other tape is restart ALL SERVICES. Today I found the same issue with old version of BE (http://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/backup-exec-125-inventory-jobs-queue-andrefuse-cancel-help-pl...) where another workaround is put your media server in 'PAUSE' state and than remove from that state - so the job really starts!

can you provide a definite fix for that??
* BE 2010 R3 with all hotfixes, using DELL LTO Power Vault 110T with the last firmware.

...this should be under the Ideas section, and not a forum query.
That said, have you checked your job to see WHY it is queueing?
