BE2012 on Hyper-V Guest

Hi, I know that installing the Backup Exec 2012 media server on a guest VM is far from recommended, but is it even possible for this to work with Hyper-V? Also, would it be able to use a tape drive attached to the Hyper-V host?

Thank you, Nick

would it be able to use a tape drive attached to the Hyper-V host?

BE will be able to detect the tape drive only if it appears in the Windows Device manager.

There are many threads on the connect site for installing BE on a VM with a tape drive.
