BE2014 unsuccessful access to catalog index in the database after upgrade/migration

After upgrading from BE2012 to BE2014SP1 and moving to another server I receive the following error although backups seem to work ok:

ODBC access error. Possible lost connection to database or unsuccessful access to catalog index in the database

I found http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH59749 but it only apply to BE2012 and the discussed script isn't in BE2014.

OS is W2012R2, SQL Server 2012 SP1

Open the Windows command prompt and browse to the installation directory \Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec\ and run the command "CatRebuildIndex -r".

Still occurring after the catalog index rebuild...

Were there any errors during the upgrade?

None that I noticed. Backups work fine just this annoying alert/error keeps appearing.

Before BE 2012, I would have told you to create a new catalog directory, but now this will cause problems with DLM and your backup sets may be inadvertently deleted I would suggest that you log a support case with Symantec for them to take a look at this problem

When do you receive these ODBC alerts ? Upon completion of certain backups or whenever the BE services are restarted ?

Would you also post the complete description of the ODBC logged event. Thanks.
