BESERVER.exe broken after joining CAS

After attaching the windows server  2012 MBES BE 15 to CAS Backup Exec 15 Appliance BESERVER.exe broken, Object 50 failed to initialize:-1

Upgrade the MMS (MBES) to BE 15 and see if this resolves the issue. Don't forget that mixing versions of Backup Exec is purely for rolling upgrade purposes...having 2 different versions of BE, especially in a CASO environment, is probably going to cause issues. Thanks!
