BackUpExec-2014 on W2K12R2 and SQL 2012

Hi all

Have a question about backing up SQL server 2012 on W2K12R2 with BE2K14 SP1 with RAWS

When I try and edit the creditials for the SQL Server 2012, it is all greyed out and I cannot edit them. Of course the backup job fails because of this.

Any help would be appreciated

Hello,

Make sure the Remote agent service on the SQL server is started.

Note,  Edited:

also verify the Backup Exec Account has the following rights in the registry: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=HOWTO74429

This is by design.  For BE 2014, the credentials is now on a per server basis.  You cannot have 1 credential for the server and try to add another one for SQL alone.  You may need to separate out the SQL job which you should because you need to turn off AOF and then you can specify the correct credential.

Also, see this document
