Backing Up Oracle Databases

Hello,

in our BE 2014 SP1 server environment  I have setup a GRT backup job for a VM Server hosting Oracle 10g2 database. In this server the BE Agent for application and databases has also installed.

My question is related to the deletion of archive log files

AFAIK there's no such option in backup job definitions (as the selectable one into the job definitions when we setup a backup job using the agent for windows) when we need to backup the VM.

Is there any way to do this using the same backup job?

No. You have to use a separate job to do that

Is there a way to exclude the oracle instance from the VM backup job?

Otherwise I will end up having Oracle Instance data backed up twice.
