Backing up BE15 Media server DB & settings ?

Hi People,

I'd like to know what is the best way to recover or restore the Physical server which runs Backup Exec 15 (Media Server) and its DB (SQL Express) ?

In case there is a hardware failure or disaster strikes, I wonder what is the best way to perform the quick restore.

Thanks,

Make a copy of the Data and Catalog directories under the BE installation directory and restore it to the new server

The BE Database is automatically backed up as part of a daily maintenance and stored in the Data directory as a .bak file.

The copy of the directories that you have is only good for the instant the copy is made.  You need to have a routine to make copies on a regular basis.  It could be part of the backup of the media server.

The BEDB as well as its backup, BEDB.bak, is in the Data directory

@Pkh so yes, I've already copied that two directories to another secure location.

WHat about the SQL Express Database ?
