Hi all,
One of my costumers wants tu protect Oracle database 11g in Oracle Linux inside Oracle VM host. There is any way to protect Oracle Database in this scenario? For example, you can backup the Oracle database using RMAN console and then the result of the Backup be managed by Backup Exec 2012. Or you can install one agent per guest in the Virtual Machine if the OS is supported?
I wait their comments.
Thanks all for your time
Kindest regards.

Oracle VM host is not supported by BE 2012. See the SCL below
However, I am not sure whether there will be any problem if you just treat the VM as a physical machine.
As for your other requirement, you might want to check out DBA jobs. See the Admin Guide below

Thanks for your answer. I will treat the VM as a physical machine.
