Data layout:
2 x 800GB LUN FC zoned to 3 ESX hosts for VM datastore
1 x 2TB LUN FC zoned to Backup Exec server
VCenter is using local storage and IP connectivity to communicate w/ ESX cluster
Currently we are backing up via ethernet/IP. I want to backup over my FC SAN. What needs to be zoned for the SAN connectivity to work?
Does the Backup Exec server need access to the 800GB LUNs or does the 2TB LUN need to be added as a datastore for the ESX servers?
NOTE: The VCenter has no FC connectivity
