We are using Backup Exec 15 running Windows 2012 to perform a GRT backup of Exchange 2013 DAG running on Windows 2012. We have 3 members of the DAG, two in my local datacenter, and one in our DR facilty off site.
The DAG member in the DR facilty is considered "down" due to AD replication issues that are being worked on as we speak. Not exactly sure what is going on there just yet.
My issue with Backup Exec:
The backup of the DAG fails, with the error :V-79-57344-896 - Backup Exec attempted to back up an Exchange database according to the job settings. The database was not found in the Database Availability Group (DAG), however. Update the selection list and run the job again.
The active databases are in my location, none of the database are active on the "down" DAG member.
Is there a way I can get this backup to run without remove the member from the DAG? We are hoping they resolve the replication issue.
I have updated the backup job selection, but still no help.
Thanks for the help!

While the TNs below reference Exchange 2010, you might still want to take a look and see if any of the suggestions are relevant:

Check your backup settings, make sure "High Availability Server" is set to "Back up from passive copy and if not available, try active copy" or just the active copy. The third setting (passive only, fail if not available) will obviously fail out your backups.
You can also try setting one of your on-prem servers as the priority server but I'd not recommend this if you have the DAG already set as the priority server, and let the High Availability feature determine which server to back up from.
