Backup Exec 10 and Eset Nod32

Hi,
We switched antivirus software from CA e-Trust antivirus to Eset Nod32, I configured NOD32 to only scan certain types of files and not every single file but backups are still taking longer than they used to before we made the antivirus switch. We use the AOFO feature to perform the backups. On one of the servers taking longer to backup, should I attempt to exclude the following folder: C:\Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec ? I am unsure how to exclude the remote agent or whatever Backup Exec is using to perform the backup but the write and verify both take longer than before the switch.
Thanks!

Pretty much the entire backup exec directory should be excluded, as well as the processes it generates.

Do you know what processes it generates?

one off hand is beremote.exe.  Just look for running processes in the task manager.
