Backup Exec 10d Hardware Compatibilty List

We are running Backup Exec 10d (no $$ to upgrade) but our current tape drive died and need to purchase a new one. I found a HCL list for BE 10d but it's 2 years old.  I was looking at the HP StorageWorks LTO-3 Ultrium 920 drive (SCSI interface). Does anyone know if this drive will work OK with BE 10d (SP4) and if this is a decent drive. If not, any recommendations??

Well, the reason that the HCL is so old is that product itself is rather old (it's end-of-Life)

That being said, if you load windows drivers, BackupExec should see and use them, but there are no guarantees.

(the HCL is merely devices tested by Veritas/Symantec, not only the devices that will work)

As far as whether that is a good drive or not, I've never used one personally, but haven't had any problems with HP devices in the past
