Hi,

Is it possible to migrate the database of Backup Exec 10d with CASO option from SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2005 (without modify the version of Backup Exec) ?

Thx

You mean you want BE's own database to be stored in SQL2005? If so, then unfortunatley this isn't supported with BE10d.
You'd need BE11d to use SQL2005 for BE's own database.

What is the best way to upgrade the own database of Backup Exec from 2000 to 2005 ?

1/ Upgrage Backup Exec (with CASO) from 10d to 11d with the existant SQL 2000 Server

2/ Move the database SQL 2000 to SQL2005 (with BEUTILITY) or upgrade directy the SQL 2000 to SQL 2005 (backup db from SQL 2000 then import to SQL 2005 after installation) ?

Can it impact CASO's functionality because remote media servers will stay in 10d version ?

I think that in a CASO environment you have to have all the BE servers (managed media servers and central admin servers) on the same version - a mix ox 10d and 11d servers won't work.
