I am not. I trialled 12.5 and the problem disappeared. I have since purchased 12.5 and started using it. Thanks for your help but the matter is now closed

Hi,

Have you tried reinstalling the Remote Agent on that server, and doing a manual backup of that particular server?
However, I believe that Backup Exec 12.0 is the first version to support Server 2008, and although some have managed to get the agent working in 11D, it's not supported.
Look into getting costings to upgrade your version too if you can.
