Backup Exec 12.5 0xe00084c8 on a duplicate

Hi

My backup works fine daily Diffs with weekly full, however whenever I try to duplicate a full backup it will duplicat to a always random size and then i get the following:

Job Completion Status
Job ended: 02 November 2009 at 07:27:12
Completed status: Failed
Final error: 0xe00084c8 - The backup storage device has failed.
Final error category: Backup Device Errors

Errors
Duplicate- New Volume
An unknown error occurred on device "IBM 1".
V-79-57344-33992 - The backup storage device has failed.
V-79-57344-65072 - The connection to target system has been lost. Backup set canceled.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
