Backup Exec 12.5 and Sharepoint Agents

Hi guys,
I was just wondering if anyone could confirm that the issue in Backup Exec 12.0 where the Sharepoint Agent didn't truncate the SQL transaction Log (see http://support.veritas.com/docs/307839 ) has been resolved in Backup Exec 12.5? The KB states that the issue is going to be resolved in a later major revision but I haven't been able to confirm that 12.5 contains the fix. I've got a client running BE12.5 SP2 plus patches and it appears that their SQL 2005 transaction logs are not being truncated by the Sharepoint Agent, that's no issue as I've put a maintenance plan in place to rectify this, but I would just like clarification.

Cheers,
Duncan

Hi Duncan
This issue has been fixed in Backup Exec 2010 to be released as next major version. Currently, 12.5 does not offer this. So, for now the only option is to run log backups regularly to truncate transaction logs. You would need to wait for the next version.
Please mark it a solution, if this helps.
Thanks
