Hi there,
Is there a way that Backup Exec 15 can be configured so that it only backs up the most recent file in a directory without having to do a full backup job first and then doing incrementals, which would back up anything new in that directory? I just want to set a job that runs weekly that grabs the most recent .bak file from a folder and put it to tape.
Thanks in advance!

An initial full backup is required, no way around it.

Thanks! Now, we have a directory that has a bunch of database backups. These backups are done daily, but before the most recent backup file is created, we run a script to remove the oldest backup so that we have enough room for the next day's daily backup. Would Backup Exec have issues running the incremental job if it sees that a file that was there before is gone? I'm just thinking because I haven't had to do this type of job before on a folder that is updated every day with a file being deleted and then another one created.
Thanks,
