Hi.
On the previous SCL for Backup Exec 2012, this was on the remarks
A vSphere Standard license is required for BE 2012 to correctly protect the ESXi hosted guest systems
For BE 2014 & BE 15, there is no mention of a vSphere STD license is required.
Questions
1. Can BE 15, backup vSphere Essential - Virtual Machines via Agent for VMware?
2. Can BE 15, backup vSphere Essentials Plus - Virtual Machines via Agent for VMware?

Any licensed edition of vSphere will work with BE's Agent for VMware since it includes the vStorage APIs for Data Protection feature.

I think that just means that VMware vSphere needed to be the Standard license as BE cannot protect the free version. There is no API to integrate into.
