Tried to install backup exec 15 - it would not let me install the server version on my computer, only the remote option.

What is the OS and bit of the computer where you are installing BE 15 on ?

For egs, 32-bit servers, Win 2003 servers are not supported as media server for BE 15. Have a look @ the SCL for compatibility - http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH227896
