I am running the trial version of Backup Exec 2016 on a new Windows Server 2016. I currently use Backup Exec 2014 on a different server...looking to replace with this new one. I have a new Dell Powervault LTO-6 that is attached and appears to installed on the server. Backup Exec sees nothing however and the Configure Storage wizard really doesn't appear to locate tape units.
Any suggestions to find the tape backup?
Thanks,
Ryan

The tape drive should not need any configuration in Backup Exec to be seen. If Windows Device Manager shows the tape drive, then Backup Exec should see it and put it in the Backup Exec UI the next time the Backup Exec services are started.
I assume you are using a SAS tape drive. Please make sure that you are using a non-RAID HBA, unless it is one of the few RAID HBAs that are supported. See http://www.veritas.com/docs/000038683
