A good thing just got better: Backup Exec 16. This new version adds support for Microsoft Server 2016, Hyper-V 2016, SQL 2016 and direct access to hot and cool Azure cloud storage, supporting IT plans to deploy the newest critical infrastructure and applications. Users gain productivity with an optimized, wizard-driven GUI that improves job focus.

Backup Exec 16 continues the mantra of “One Backup to Rule them All,” protecting all an organization’s data, regardless of where it resides: whether virtual, physical or cloud.

Superior virtualization support is provided by patented Instant Granular Recovery Technology (GRT), which enables fast virtual machine backups and individual file recovery. Instant Recovery of VMware and Hyper-V virtual machines allows recovery objectives to be achieved with ease and simplicity. Support for the latest VMware and Microsoft functions means the business can deploy new hypervisor capabilities without having to wait for backup to catch up.

Physical is still important. A recent survey commissioned by Veritas shows that mid-market organizations still have a significant proportion of their data stored in physical systems. With over 30 years of experience and one of the most comprehensive hardware and software compatibility lists in the industry, Backup Exec is a trusted choice to protect all the data that drives business.

Public cloud connectors to Azure, AWS and Google and private S3 services enable organizations to map their own journey to the cloud. Key cloud gateway support accelerates IT agility with on-premise and hybrid options.

Upgrading to Backup Exec 16 is quick and easy. Backup Exec maintains single backup policies for multiple servers and their configuration settings when upgrading from Backup Exec 2010 R3 SP3 and newer versions. Users can reduce their costs of managing licenses by migrating to the per-terabyte, unrestricted features Backup Exec Capacity Edition.

Try it today: Veritas offers a free 60-day trial of Backup Exec 16.
