Backup Exec 2010 Beta, Exchange 2010 inside Hyper-V

I'm experimenting with the Backup Exec 2010 Beta.  I am trying to backup a Virtual Machine on Windows Server 2008 R2 using the Hyper-V agent.  The virtual machine is also running Windows Server 2008 R2, and it contains Exchange 2010.

The Exchange Server is not backed up, and I get the following errors:

V-79-57344-65097 - Error. Cannot backup directory \zzzVirtApp001zzz and its subdirectories.
V-79-57344-65097 - Error. Cannot backup directory \zzzVirtApp002zzz and its subdirectories.
Final error: 0xe000fe49 - An invalid parameter was specified. I assume that the two "directories" are the Exchange Public and Private Store. Note that if I backup this Exchange Server directly with the Exchange Agent, it works fine. Any ideas? Scott Richesson IT Manager Cincinnait Fan

Hi Scott

I appear to have the same problem with Exchange 2007 (the SBS version) in a Hyper-V R2 VM.

I've posted https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/be-2010-sbs-exchange-2007-hyper-v-vm-error-v-79-57344... with my problem details - perhaps though we should see if there are any commonalities between our setups too.

We are also experiencing the same issue. we have exchange 2007 VM running in esx4. I have opened a case / ticket with Symantec support more then one month ago and it looks like Symantec people have no clue how to fix this issue.
