Backup Exec 2010 Move

We would like ot move the Backup Exec 2010 software to another server without losing our data.  What are the best steps for this?

What if we are moving our 2010 R2 version to a 2010 R3 version on another server?

Will that be a problem or could I follow the provided KB article?
