Refer to this technote " http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO23684 " about " Supported Storage Location configurations "

I am sure the external drives that you are using are normal Direct Attached Storage.

If its a  NAS configuration then refer to the technote " http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO23680 " about " Configuring a remote Windows share or NAS device for DLO Storage Locations".

Also what you can try is to manually type the path where you need the data to be strored even if the drive letters are not showing in that Choos a path window. I am sure typing manually should work fine.

Thanks,

Although I don't have confirmation of this I suspect we don't support detachable drives because of what would happen to DLO if you unplugged it - especially if this unplug happened at a time when loads of users are active in the environment.

Thanks Sush for your reply, when I try type manually the path appears this error:

The device usb is an External Iomega LDHD-UP
500GB Prestige USB 2.0 Desktop Hard Drive

Any idea ?

Thanks
