Backup Exec 2010 R3 to LTO.

Hello.

Please any solution how to take backup to LTO. We have tape device and a few LTO tape inside this device.

We want to make backup direct to some LTO and archive them not rewrite this tapes anymore.

Any advice or solution.

Good Administration Guide but nothing about this.

Hi,

1. Create a media set and set it to a large protection period (say 10 years).

2. Create a job and select the data you want backed up.

3. Choose the drive/library as the destination for the backup, and let the job run.

4. Once done, remove the tape/s and ship offsite, or lock away. For added protection you can slide the protection tab across.
