Hello

I have a question and i can not figure it out.

I placed a new server because the older server died last week caused by major lightning

BEfore replacing  the backup server had the following combination

Server 2003 + Backup Exec 12.5
Exchange 2007 SP 1mangment tools etc
Outlook , for use i combination with managment tools to deploy sometimes pst's

The new server has the following

Server 2008 RC2 + Backup Exec 2010
exchange 2007 managment tools etc.

The rest of the configuration

2 ESX servers

1 X DOmain controller (server 2008 RC2) (vmware 4.0)
1 X application server (server 2008 RC2) (vmware 4.0)
1 x Terminal server (Server 2008) (vmware 4.0)
1 X SQL server 2008 (server 2008 RC2) (vmware 4.0)
1 X exchange Server (server 2008 RC2 + exchange 2007) (vmware 4.0)
1 X CRM server (server 2008 RC2) (vmware 4.0)

With BE 12.5 i could browse to the  first storage group to select mailboxen to backup / or restore.

with 2010 i can not browse to the first storage group and i can only select the whole FSG.
I want to use this icw GRT so i can restore individual e-mails.
I have license for BE 2010, SQL and Exchange

I can not use the managment tools (32 bit only)  to create psts so i have to do it with the backup.
anyone know what i forgot to do ?

kind REgards

You might have been using the legacy method to back up Exchange, but on my backup servers still running Exchange, what your screenshot shows is correct. I can also only select the Information Store when backing up. restoring allows for GRT restores. It is the same for BE 2010.
