Backup Exec 2010 backup-to-disk not overwriting additional media

I have a job set to Overwrite (global overwrite set to partially protected), but it won't overwrite additional media.  When the job fills the disk, it prompts for additional media I insert a previously used disk which is in the 'Scratch Media Set'. It tries to APPEND instead of OVERWRITE this additional media.  How do I get Backup Exec to automatically overwrite additional media?  If I manually format the disk, the Label is changed.

When on Disk overwrite is per BKF file not per complete disk and you have to get your overwrite protection settings in your media sets correct as if you get these wrong nothing will be overwriteable. 

There are differences in behaviour if you are doing GRT backusp to disk as IMG folders are only reclaimed (deleted) at the start of a GRT enable backup set. Which could mean if you mix GRT and non-GRt jobs on same disk, that a non GRT backup will not touch any IMG folders and run out of space because it is an IMG using the most space on the disk.

Things change a little in BE 2012 as DLM may take over (unless RDX style disks)
