I have a two node hyper-v failover cluster that I use Backup Exec 2010 to backup the vm's. For the setup refer to following -
node1 (backup exec published name for agent - node1)
node2 (backup exec published name for agent - node2, and, cluster-name)
cluster-name (clusters name!)
So this is what I've found. When all the VM's are running on node2 backups occur without a problem (full vm backup and sys states). It now appears that if any of the VM's are running on node1 it is highly likely - although not always - that a backup will fail. The only difference between the two nodes is that node2 has the cluster name associated with it, while node1 does. Anyone see this before?
I just pushed out the agents to both nodes normally - no other steps done.
Any ideas?? Thanks!
