Backup Exec 2010 is still queued status

Hi all,

I have a problem with backup exec 2010 now. My problem is I can do all type of job in backup exec but when I have inserted one 1.6TB into the library and then suddently my data is bigger that tape size. It is becoming backup in queued and asking to insert another tape backup into library to continue. After I inserted new tape into the library, it still run in queued mode.

My question is "How can we force this status from queued to running mode?"

Thanks,

Sor

How did you insert the new tape into the library?

If you did it manually, then Backup Exec likely has no knowledge of the new tape being available.  You would want to run an inventory or scan job on that slot.

If you used an import job to get the tapoe into the library, then Backup Exec should be aware fo the tape and show it in the GUI.  If it doesn't get used, then you need to investigate the properties of that tape, such as what media set it is in, is it overwriteable, etc.
