Hi,
We have a Server 2008 R2 server that is used for backups. We use Backup Exec 2012 and backup various servers. It is patched to the latest version.
Now and again some jobs will be stuck on running at 0MB byte rate. The way I get around this is to reboot the server and the jobs then run ok.
Does anybody have any ideas to resolve the problem?

My suggestion on this issue is to plan and perform an upgrade to the latest version of Backup Exec i.e. BE15. Many issues have been resolved in this version.
Thanks!!

...I had this issue with BE 2010 R1, R2, R3 (and before that BE 12.5) and upgrading never resolved it.
Unless it is explicitly stated that it is fixed in a newer version of the app, you never assume it will!
Upgrading is done to fix known issues, as stated in the version Readme, or to enable support for newer apps/hardware.
Thanks!

Are there pending alerts on the job when they get stuck?
Thanks!

Hi Craig,
There are no active alerts when the jobs are stuck on running.

Is it stuck on the same resource? Is Advanced Open File Option selected in the job?

No it doesn't, it is varied.
Advanced Open File Option is selected in the jobs.
