In our environment, I have 3 IBM server with uEFI BIOS.
One IBM server installed Backup Exec 2012. Then use this backup server to do system backup other 2 servers and local backup server itself.
When configuring backup job on local backup exec server, I cannot find "EFI system partition" in backup selection list but other 2 servers can find "EFI system partition" for backup.
Why it happen? How can I show "EFI system partition in the backup exec server. Is it necessary to backup EFI system partition for SDR backup?

If I were you, I would back up the uEFI partition. After all, it is rather small. See these documents

After un-selecting unlicensed trial option "Agent for VMware" and "Agent for Application and Database" and restart all Backup Exec services, the EFI system partition can be shown now.
Now I want to know whether it is necessary to backup this EFI system partition for SDR (Simplified Disaster Recovery).
