Backup Exec 2012 Small Business Edition - VirtAPI.dll missing

Hi,

I have the following error with a newly licensed Backup Exec 2012 (initially installed as an Eval version).

Backup- \\BRODYLAW1.brodylaw.local\Microsoft Information Store\Public Folder Database 0349487685
V-79-57344-759 - Cannot complete the operation because the file VirtApi.dll is missing and the Agent...
 

The installation wizard doesn't give me the option to install Agent for Microsoft Exchange, though it's my understanding that it should be part of the Small Business Edition.

Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? We really do want Exchange backup.

1) uninstall the licence

2) reboot the server

3) install the licence

4) if your Exchange is not on the same machine as the media server, push out the remote agent again

5) try again.

The above seems to be known issue with BE 2012 please try the workaround part given in document & also please click on subscribe on that doucment so whenever any hotfix is released you will be prompted for it too
