Backup Exec 2012 and Quantum DXI loading media very slow

HI Everyone,

   I am using 2012 with a DXI dedup system. The backup jobs will start and say loading media and will sit for a few hours in thast status. After some time the job will run and at 50 gigs "the size set for each media file limit" it will stop and go back to loading media as expected but again it will stay thay way for hours before starting to run again. Has anyone ran into this problem and been able to fix it?

Have you check that your device/model is supported?  See the HCL below

Also, if you are not on SP1a, do upgrade to it using LU.

Quantum has been supported since the beginning of time.  It's not like they are some small niche/obscure company.

That said, If VTL, the drivers may need updating, the Quantum OS needs updating, or at the very least BackupExec needs updating.

Are you using OST?  Then, the OST plug-in could be outdated.

The hardware is supported

We are using OST not VTL, the drivers in use are the latest and greatest. This is a brand new install, all new hardware and software.
