Backup Exec 2012 and SQL Server 2012 AlwaysOn availability groups?

Backup Exec 2012 SP1 works excellent with database availability groups in Exchange 2010, by default backing up on the passive node and deleting transaction log files.

Has this kind of support been added to SQL Server 2012 AlwaysOn availability groups?

This feature is currently not supported with any version of Backup Exec. This is mentioned as point 14 in the Software compatibility list under

Backup Exec 2012 Applications and Databases compatibility section -> Microsoft

Thank you so much for your fast reply!

SQL Server 2012 was general available in April 2012, some 16 months ago. When will Backup Exec support SQL 2012 availability  groups?

There is no clear public ETA on this, but my guess is the next release of BE should be include supportability for this.

I understand this takes time, and i am glad symantec seem to take its time with releasing the SP2 for 2012, but its quite difficult to explain our sales that we still can't support this.

is there no information at all available on when this will be supported?
