Backup Exec 2012 > P2V Issues > Unable to logon to Windows on Virtual Server (After Conversion)

Hi,

I am facing an issue where after P2V using Backup Exec (backup to disk and convert to virtual) i am unable to logon to OS (Windows) though it powered on successfuly on VMware ESX. I tried login using Local Administrator/Domain accounts of Windows. Can anyone suggest me on this? Anything else i need to take care of during this process?

Tried p2v a couple of times, restoration completed successfuly everytime but only login issue remains.

What is Operating system version running on converted vm?

Are you getting any error message?

Hi,

OS: Windows 2008 R2

The usual error of wrong user name and password. The samw credentials are working on physical server.

Hi,

Issue seems to be with password synchronization. Can you try to restart vm and see if it works.

You might need to rerun backup and run p2v job see if it allows to login.
