Ist es möglich Backup Exec so zu konfigurieren, dass BE ein bestimmtes Band für einen bestimmten Sicherungsjob verwendet?
Im Moment wählt BE irgendein Band aus dem definierten temp-Pool aus. Nachdem die Bänder schon beschriftet sind, wäre es von Vorteil, dass BE zb. die Montagssicherung auf das Band schreibt, welches den Namen Montag trägt und nicht auf welches, das Freitag heißt.

...if you have an autoloader/tape library you would be able to make use of partitions. You'd put a particular tape into a particular slot and this would be used.
If not, then you need to rely on your OPP/Append settings, but if your tapes are overwritable on a particular day, you shouldn't have to worry about this.

When you are using a tape library, it is better to let BE and the tape library manage the tapes for you. See my article below on this subject.

If you use partitions and your OPP is not set correctly, your job will fail even though there is an overwritable tape in the library. This is because BE will not take a tape from other than the targeted partition.
