Backup Exec 2012 network share backup

Hi,
yesterday i have installed BE 2012 on a customers server and i have some problems with installing the remote agent on another server.
Is it possible to backup a network share with BE 2012?

Sure. BE 2012 can backup network share.  You got to use the UNC path to access the share.  You cannot use it as a mapped drive.

Hi,

Yes it is. You'd use \\IP_Address\ShareName...for a NAS this would work and you'd get a warning about a remote agent not being installed.

For a Windows server, this might not work...you'd need the RAWS agent to be compliant anyway. Maybe open another query with your error...
