Technical Note Backup version is for 2012, there is a specific solution for the 2014 version?

An alternative method using powershell?

The above KB applies to BE 2012, BE 2014 and BE 15 as well.

An alternative would be importing the BEDB at other sites but this will require more changes and work than using BEMCLI (powershell)

Selection list are not exported and will need to be modified after import if needed. By default everything will be selected on the Selections.

That's right. And there isn't a concept of Selection Lists from BE 2012 onwards like it was in prior versions of BE.
