Hi All

I am testing BE 2014 and are trying to backup a hyper v guests that contain sql servers, storage is based on Equalogic PS6000's.  When i run the host backup including the VM the backups complete but i get a "backup exec was unable to prepare Microsoft sql resources for GRT".  I can do a single vm backup and grt works ok.

Anyone have an idea what to look at next?

thanks

I have found the issue, if the hyper v guests are using iscsi disks which are directly connected then the hyper v agent can't back them up.  If I setup individual jobs then it is fine.

Appreciate the suggestions.

...have you installed the Remote Agent for Windows on the server in question? This is required for GRT backups and restores.

Thanks!

Do ensure the backup job is set to the Microsoft VSS provider under Advanced Open File Option.

And under the same settings, is Process logical volumes one at a time enabled or disabled ?
