Backup Exec 2015 - backup a VM

yannlindemann
Level 4

I installed a new backup exec 2015 server. I have some physical server and 2 ESX, 1 vcenter and VM's.

I installed the backup Agent on every server, physical and VM.

I can backup the physical servers but I can't backup the VM's, I received this error 0x2000fe07 - FS_NO_MORE

My question is, can I backup the VM's with a backup exec Agent in a VM (like a physical server)  if I dont have the VMware vcenter / ESX host licences ?

If yes, how to procced?

thanks

Hi,

Yes you can, but can't do full VM-level backups based on GRT of the VMs. So they're treated like physical servers when backing up with the RAWS agent installed.

Check the TN below for that error:

Thanks!
