Backup Exec Backup To Disk

Hi All,

Am very new to BackupExec 2012, i notice on the backup to disk menu option it says 'keep for two weeks' i notice that this entry can be edited as as for longer or shorter periods. what does that mean and what happens to the data backep up after two weeks or which ever time period one had specified?

This is a Overwrite Protection Period that keeps your data from being overwritten.

In BE 2012, a new feature Data Lifecycle Management (DLM) manages the backup sets on Disk. Have a look @ these links which would answer your query as to what this setting it...what happens post the date etc... ~
