Hi,

Have you verified that port 10000 is open on any firewall running on the server, and that the RAWS agent service is running on the affected server?

Also check to see if any AV installed on the affected server isn't perhaps blocking beremote.exe from running properly and communicating with the media server.

Thanks!

Take a look a the following document..

http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH71514

Verify that the remote agent on both the media server and the remote machines are logging on as local system

also verify that the remote agent started and publishing to the media server.

aditionally the document below details how each service on the media server should be logging on as... Please verify

Hello Vamsi,

Make sure that the version of the remote agent and the version of Backup Exec on the media server are the same.  You can check by going to /Program Files/Symantec/Backup Exec/BEREMOTE.EXE

You might want to just fo ahead and reinstall the remote agent.  Note:  when the Remote Agent is uninstalled a reboot may be required.

Check the following

1) on the remote server, check that the remote agent service is running.  Also check the Windows Eventlog for any remote agent service failures.

2) open the remote agent utility and make sure that it is publishing correctly to the media server

3) on the remote server, check that there are no other applications using port 10000.
