Backup Exec - CASO

Hello everyone

                        I have 2 sites Site A & Site B which I am trying to protect. I am planning to put CASO in site A and attach it to Dedup Driver. At Site B I will deploy MBES and also attach it to Dedup drive.

Question1 Can I send the data in Bidirections(Optimized dedup)? Data from Site A-SiteB & Site B-SiteA all controlled from Site A which has CASO?

Question 2 Is it even possible to attach a Dedup drive to CASO?

Yes, you can configure dedupe from configure storage section of storage tab on the CAS.

You can also share the CASdedupe with MBES and MBESdedupe with CAS from CAS storage tab by right clicking on each dedup store and sharing it with the other server.

Configure the jobs and run them the way you are planning to.
